The forty or so aplets below were originally hosted on Hewlett Packard's website. Unfortunately, the site was 'updated' in 2000 when it was given a new look and they were removed.  Most of them have now been placed officially on HPs site again but they are also here in the interests of completeness. Not all of the original collection are here: some have been superceded by ones on my other pages, while others... well I just didn't think they were worthwhile. But most are here and well worth a careful look.
 
 
  1 Var Inequalities
  Using the LINEAR INEQUALITY aplet, the student will graphically solve a linear inequality.

  2x2 Systems
  Using the 2x2 SYSTEMS aplet, the student will solve systems of linear equations using substitution, linear combination, and Cramer’s Rule.

  Using the AMPLITUDE/PERIOD aplet, the student will investigate parameters A & B to see how they effect the functions

  Angles Drill
  Using the ANGLES aplet, the student will solve for the missing angle given a pair of complementary angles, a pair of supplementary angles, or a triangle.

  Archimedes Pi
  Using the ARCHIMEDES aplet, the student will explore Archimedes‘ method for approximating the value of pi by comparing the area of a regular polygon to the area of the corresponding circumscribed circle.

  Using the COORDINATE GEOMETRY aplet, the student will find the midpoint, distance, and slope of a given line segment.

  Using the DOT TO DOT aplet the student will be able to explore points, slopes and equations of lines that enclose the figures. It is also possible for the student to investigate the piecewise functions that would create the exact drawing.

  Using the MAP THE WRAP aplet, the student will investigate the relationship between the unit circle and the graphs of y=sin x and y=cos x.

Quadratic Explorer
  A wonderful aplet for investigating quadratic graphs in the form y = a(x+h)2 + c. A must for any student learning about these graphs. This is an HP aplet which I helped to design, written in machine code by Gerald Squelart (an HP programmer), and is fast and visually exciting.  It is built into the new HP39/40G.

  Rational Functions
  Using the RATIONAL aplet, the student will investigate rational functions and the asymptotes associated with the function.

  Using the MATRIX <<RREF>> aplet, the student will solve systems of equations using Gauss-Jordan elimination. The student will algebraically manipulate the matrix to put it in row-reduced echelon form (RREF).

Trig Explorer
  A wonderful aplet for investigating trigonometric graphs in the form y = a sin(bx + c) + d  or y = a cos(bx + c) + d . A must for any student learning about these graphs. This is an HP aplet which I helped to design, written in machine code by Jean-Yves Avenard (an HP programmer), and is fast and visually exciting.  It is built into the new HP39/40G.

  Using the VOL/SA1 aplet, the student will calculate volumes and surface areas for the three dimensional shapes of the pyramid and the cone.
