Vector Derivatives

This aplet supplies a set of four vector functions. When the user has displayed the PLOT view then they can overlay velocity and acceleration vectors onto the path shown.

Key Finder

I know it's not politically correct but this aplet statistically simulates the following problem:
.
One night James walked home from a "night on the town" during which he had, well… been drinking just a little too much.  He stumbled up onto his porch and began fumbling in his pocket to find his front door key.  Unfortunately he had six keys in his pocket which all appeared to be identical.  And only one of them would open the door.
.
Three possible scenarios are portrayed in the aplet, using the random number generator instead of dice to simulate the 'choosing' of different keys.

.

Function 3D

This is an aplet written by a wonderfully talented former student from Helena Valley College called Quin Pendragon.  You can find numerous other programs he has created on my aplets page.
.
The aplet will graph the one function in either orthogonal or isometric view as a wire-frame plot.  The plot speed is very slow because of the amount of calculations involved but the results are really spectacular and well worth the wait.
