Prob Distr Fns
This aplet is simply a copy
of the standard Solve aplet, with certain equations pre-entered. It is
designed to be used by a student doing an examination on probabilitiy
distributions. See the documentation for the list of p.d.f.s
covered. The aplet was written by Craig Davis, Head of Mathematics Dept at
St. Hilda's A.S.G. (my school).

SLOPE FIELDS
  The Slope Fields aplet
lets you investigate the production of a field of slopes from a derivative
function stored in F1(X), and the drawing of multiple possible integrals given
starting points (x,y).
The density of the field of slopes is controlled by the settings of Xtick and
Ytick in the PLOT SETUP view.

.
.
COLLISIONS
 This aplet will
illustrate the vector collision or close approach of a pair of ships. The
initial position vectors and the velocity vectors are input as Cartesian
vectors, and then the path of the ships is shown graphically.
.
 Finally the time of
collision (if such is the case) or the time and distance of closest approach is
given.

PIECEWISE FUNCTIONS
This aplet allows the user to
graph a piecewise defined function of up to four pieces. The functions are
entered into F1(X) through F4(X) and the bounds via the VIEWS menu.
.
The function can then be
displayed on the PLOT view and also in the NUM view (it appears as
F0(X). This aplet was designed and programmed by Andy Vella at La
Salle College.

INEQUALITIES
 This aplet allows the
user to graph shaded inequalities
 for the F1(X) to F3(X)
via the VIEWS menu.
